ATP Queen’s: Day 3 & 4

OUR tennis model is up and running and we’re ready to cash in on some nice bets.

Tomas Berdych v Shapovalov

Despite Tomas Berdych’ struggles this season the Czech feels at home on the grass as he showed last year reaching the Wimbledon Semi Final and should have far too much firepower for the world number 193 from Canada.

Shapovalov won through qualifying and overcame Kyle Edmund in the opening round for just his second career tour win, while Berdych easily dispatched Steve Darcis to advance.

With Berdych possessing one of the biggest serves on tour, expect a number of easy holds to put huge pressure on the Canadian and we are confident Berdych will cover the -4 handicap in this one.

Our projections are showing a 6-3, 6-3 win for Berdych giving us a strong play on the handicap.

Prediction: Berdych -4.0 @ $1.96

Viktor Troicki v Donald Young

This pair has very different paths to the second round, with Troicki prevailing in an epic 3-set battle against journeyman Janko Tipsarevic in just under three hours, while Young claimed the first set against Nick Kyrgios before he was forced to retire with a hip injury.

Their head to head record currently stands at 1-1, with Young winning their last in a five-set battle at the 2015 US Open.

Not a lot separates the two in this match up but we will lean towards experience of Troicki, given his natural ability on grass.

Our model is showing a slight lean on the Serb, giving us good value on the hd2hd market.

Prediction: Troicki @ $1.80

Feliciano Lopez v Jeremy Chardy

Lopez continued his impressive Wimbledon build-up, knocking out Stan Wawrinka in straight sets last night which also comes on the back of his finals appearance in Stuttgart last week.

The pair met last week with Lopez winning in three sets to extend his H2H advantage over Chardy to 4-1 and 2-0 on grass.

All signs are pointing to Lopez easily covering the generous -2.5 handicap in this one and our projections are showing a similar trend.

While our model has this going three sets, the 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 pick gives us confidence in the handicap market.

Prediction: Lopez -2.5 @ $1.92
