College Football: Stanford @ Oregon State

WE look to start our College week in style as all eyes turn to Stanford’s Heisman candidate in this one.

Bryce Love has been explosive to say the least this year and if it wasn’t for the incredible feats of Saqion Barkley over at Penn State he would easily be the country’s top player.

Love has helped ignite this Stanford offence into one of the best in the country – especially on the ground.

The Cardinals are currently averaging 258.3 rushing yards per game, which doesn’t bode well for a team that doesn’t necessarily defend the ground game particularly well.

Oregon State are allowing over 200 yards per game on the ground, with the team currently allowing a whopping 43.7 points per game.

After a stuttered start to the year the Cards have since rattled off four straight wins, including a destruction of Oregon heading into a bye week.

The team is averaging over 38 point per game in scoring and have shown they can rack up big scores against sub-par defences (49 v Oregon, 58 v UCLA, 34 v Arizona State) and that has us leaning heavily on the Cards in this one.

The line has settled at 20.5 which is perfect for punters – so get on now before it goes above the 3 TD margin.

Stanford is 4-0 against the spread in their last four road games against teams with a losing record. They’ve also covered the line in six of the last seven meetings with Oregon State.

The Beavers meanwhile have failed to cover the line in their last four straight games following a bye week.

We’ve got a good lean on Stanford covering here, with our projections showing them winning by 21+ points almost 72% of the time.

Tip: Stanford -20.5 @ $1.88 (2 units)
