EPL Preview: Week 10

We’re almost a quarter of the way through the 2017/18 season as we continue to deliver with the value. Here’s our best picks for Week 10 in the EPL.

Crystal Palace v West Ham

Two teams who no doubt envisioned being much higher up the ladder at this point do battle in what should be a heated London derby.

Crystal Palace has remarkably failed to score in all but one game this season but the chances are flowing. Roy Hodgson’s side will be without big target men Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham, meaning speedy duo Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend will likely lead the line.

West Ham just can’t generate any momentum right now. Coming off an embarrassing 3-0 home loss to Brighton at home last week, Slavin Bilic’s outfit need to respond and the Croatian has already stated that he will adopt a more attacking approach in this clash which should make for a very open affair.

The spped of Townsend and Zaha should cause the inconsistent Hammers backline a world of trouble while West Ham should be able to make the most of at least one of their chances given they’ve won three of their past four matches at Selhurst Park.

Prediction: Both teams to score @ $1.83

West Brom v Manchester City

One of the worst attacking sides in the league host the most explosive attacking and best defensive outfit. As expected, Tony Pulis’ side relies heavily on defence but their lack of attack is a real concern right now. Remarkably, no player has scored more than one goal for the club in the league this season and now the best defensive side in the league stroll into town.

Manchester City is arguably the hottest club in world football right now. Pep Guardiola has managed to instil belief right throughout the organisation. We certainly expected their high-powered attack to show up early on in the season but their phenomenal defensive record has to be the most pleasing aspect of their year so far. City are currently averaging less than 0.5 goals against right now and have managed to keep a clean sheet in five of their past seven away matches.

Prediction: Manchester City clean sheet @ $1.82

Arsenal v Swansea

Arsenal is unproven against the big sides this season but at home, they have managed to beat and beat well the teams everyone is expected them to win. This matchup against Swansea is certainly one of those games.

The Gunners are coming off their best win of the season, a 5-2 demolition of Everton away and despite Everton’s struggles, they will certainly draw tremendous confidence from that. Arsene Wenger’s side have impressively won their past nine home Premier League games and have scored at least two goals in their last seven home matches.

Swansea have struggled to generate any consistency this season. They have managed just one win from their past six games and come into this clash without influential left back Martin Olsson and defensive central midfielder Renato Sanchez.

Arsenal are full strength with Alexandre Lacazzette, Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud all likely to be hungry to continue their hot goal-scoring run.

Prediction: Arsenal to score more than 2.5 goals @ $1.83
