EPL Preview: Week 13

Another enthralling round of the EPL is ahead us and as usual we’ve highlighted the best value on offer. Here’s our picks for Week 13.

Crystal Palace v Stoke

Two sides who find themselves at the wrong end of the table meet at Selhurst Park in what’s sure to be an interesting affair.

Palace, despite anchoring the ladder, have looked a much more complete and dangerous outfit under the ever-experienced Roy Hodgson. He has been able to extract more out of speedsters Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend and now target man Christian Benteke has overcome his injury worries and should be available for selection which gives manager yet another dimension in the front third.

Stoke have also improved in the past month, boasting an unbeaten record over their past three league fixtures. Xherdan Shaqiri is fit and the evergreen Peter Crouch has rediscovered his goal scoring form which is great news for Mark Hughes.

Goals at either end has certainly been a feature of play for both clubs of late and this one should be no different. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Stoke’s last nine league matches and there have been at least two goals scored in Crystal Palace’s last three league matches at home. Back the overs.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals @ $2.05

Tottenham v West Brom

They look to have pipped Real Madrid for the top spot in their Champions League group as Mauricio Pochettino now looks to inspire his side to overturn what was a disappointing derby loss to Arsenal last week. Fortunately for his sake his side hosts the worst performing club in the league in West Brom.

The Baggies relieved manager Tony Pulis of his duties after four straight defeats and run of 10 matches without a win. Gary Megson takes the reins in an interim capacity and will do his best to overcome the club’s 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Chelsea last week. Only Huddersfield, Swansea and Palace have scored less goals than West Brom this season (9), with the Baggies failing to score in three of their past four matches.

Tottenham on the other hand have managed to keep six clean sheets from their opening 12 matches and three of their past four home matches in the league have resulted in clean sheets.

With just one goal from their past four away matches, it certainly no stretch to assume West Brom are going to struggle in attack in this one.

Prediction: Tottenham win to nil @ $1.80
