NBA best bets: Monday, 13 November

AFTER another sweep yesterday we look forward to cashing in with punters once more.

Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:

Houston Rockets @ Indiana Pacers

The Pacers are coming off their best defensive performance of the season, even if it was against a hapless Bulls team.

The positive for Indiana isn’t just that they were able to force multiple stops and turnovers, but it was that their offence wasn’t forced to suffer as a result.

Tha Pacers, led by a revived Victor Oladipo, are averaging 109.0 points per game so far this season Рsomething  that will force the Rockets to sit up and take notice.

After recording another impressive win over the Grizzlies yesterday, Houston were straight on to a flight across the country. The time zone difference means they lost an hour sleep on a tough back-to-back.

While Mike D’Antoni’s side are absolutely rolling at the moment nut they’re due a let down and it’s going to come on a back-to-back.

The Rockets have failed to cover the line in their last four games when playing the second of a back-to-back.

Both mental and physical fatigue are an issue here and a well rested Pacers, coming off arguably their most impressive performance this season, should prove too much to handle.

Houston still allow 103.5 points per game, and when dealing with another fast-paced offence that will push the tempo and force Houston’s tired legs to stay with them they’ll likely give up a lot more than 103 points today.

Houston are 1-7 against the spread in their last eight games against the Central division, and the team hasn’t enjoyed making the trip to Houston in recent years.

The Pacers have covered the line in seven of the past 11 meetings between the sides in Indiana, while the home team is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings between the sides.

Take the free points, and don’t be scared to stake small on the Pacers straight up.

Tip: Indiana Pacers +3.5 @ $1.92 (Unibet)
