NBA best bets: Monday, 27 November

IT’S a small day of action following some early tip-offs but we’ve found a nice play on the remaining game.

Here’s a look at our best bet for today:

Brooklyn Nets @ Memphis Grizzlies

Both these teams are in somewhat of a taildive in recent weeks after strong starts to the season.

Both have also had to deal with injuries to their star players that has disrupted any momentum they once had.

The Nets will continue to play without their starting backcourt duo in Jeremy Lin and D’Angelo Russell, while the Grizzlies will be without their star guard Mike Conley.

Injuries have forced the Nets to rely on some of their lesser players in Spencer Dinwiddie and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to step up and do some of the heavy lifting.

While Hollis-Jefferson continues to be rocks and diamonds on a near nightly basis he has started to find consistency in getting buckets.

One area he hasn’t shown the same level of consistency is on the boards, which is where we feel we have a large advantage as a result.

The 22-year-old is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game this season, which is in line with his career average of 5.7 rebounds per game.

It’s interesting to therefore see his rebound total sitting at 6.5 for this one given his numbers as well as Memphis’ ability to crash the boards on both sides of the court.

There’s only been three games in his last 10 starts where he has gone Over this number, and the only time he’s done so on the road was in a 40 minute cameo in Portland where he pulled down eight boards.

Given the activity of JaMychael Green and sheer size of Marc Gasol it’s hard to see him doing much on the offensive glass.

Will he pull down seven defensive rebounds? Very unlikely.

Our data has him finishing on 5.1 rebounds here, leaving us with a great price on this one.

Tip: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson u/6.5 rebounds @ $1.80 (Sportsbet)
