NBA best bets: Thursday, 30 November

WE look to stay perfect on the week as we push on from our 5-0 start.

Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Orlando Magic

The Thunder continue to the inconsistent mess we expected from them, but one thing that has been a constant for them so far this season is their defence.

OKC rank second in the league for defensive efficiency, and have particularly enjoyed their time against Eastern Conference teams this season.

The tendency for East coast teams to play at a slower tempo certainly suits the Thunder, although Orlando are going to try and push the issue wherever possible.

Frank Vogel’s side are in free-fall after their strong start to the season and things show no signs of improving.

One man whose personal form has mirrored that of the team is Evan Fournier.

After a strong start offensively it seems the Frenchman has gone off the boil and is struggling to get buckets with any consistency or efficiency.

His points, rebounds and assists total on offer is reflective of his season average, but he hasn’t come close to those number this month.

The 21.5 total is far too high given what we’ve seen from him in recent weeks.

Fournier has gone over that total just once in his last six games and that was against a less than stellar defence in Indiana. Going back further, he’s eclipsed that total just twice in his last 10 straight games.

OKC defend the perimeter as well as any team in the league, and he’ll have a hard time penetrating through the lane and finishing inside.

We cant see how he’ll get anywhere near enough assists or boards to push this toward the total and feel we’re getting a great number in this one.

Tip: Evan Fournier points, rebounds & assists u/21.5 @ $1.88 (CrownBet)

Note: Those who don’t have this option, look at taking Fournier u/16.5 points as an alternative.
