NBA best bets: Tuesday, 7 November

TWO bad beats cost us a big day but as always we will bounce back and find you more winners.

It’s a small card on the NBA and we refuse to force bets if we don’t like them so we have just the single play.

Here’s our best bets for the day:

Boston Celtics @ Atlanta Hawks

The Celtics are easily the hottest team in the NBA right now and are playing near-perfect team basketball at this time of the season.

Brad Stevens is getting the most out of his entire squad, with their bench production stepping forth once again in Orlando in their last outing.

They head to Atlanta on a back-to-back to face a Hawks team also getting no rest after an impressive win against the flailing Cavs.

Defence has been key for the C’s during this eight-game win streak – they’re allowing just 93.2 points per game and holding opponents to just 42.1% shooting from the field.

Key to this has been their ability to defend the perimeter, with Stevens admitting that it has been a point of emphasis since training camp. The Celtics are allowing opponents to shoot just 30.8% from beyond the arc and held the Magic to less than 28% from deep.

Atlanta had their way with Cleveland’s swiss cheese defence but they’re struggle to get buckets against a team that suffocates the paint and contests everything beyond the arc.

The Unders has cashed in the last five straight games for Boston when facing Eastern Conference opponents, and the tendency to play a slower brand of basketball against lesser opponents is a well known trend from Stevens team.

The team has seen six of their last seven road games go Unders against teams with a losing home record, while four of the last five meetings between the two sides in Atlanta have also stayed Under the total.

Tip: Under 205.0 points @ $1.92 (CentreBet)
