NCAAB best bets: Wednesday, 6 December

AFTER taking a day to sit back we’re ready to tackle some more College hoops for punters.

Here’s our best bets for the action ahead:

Montana State @ Central Michigan

Central Michigan have been absolute cash-cows for punters to start the season – they’re 6-1 on the season, but are a perfect 4-0 against the spread.

The Chippewas are playing terrific team basketball at the moment and are using their tough zonal defence to generate easy points on offence.

While they only average 67.4 points per game they’re shooting at a very efficient 44.7% from the field, including 38.4% from beyond the arc.

Thos numbers only get better on their home court where they shoot at 52.3% while going 44.4% from downtown.

While Montana State own a respectable 6-3 record this season they’ve only covered the line once (from four games) as underdogs.

We can’t see how the Bobcats will penetrate this Chippewas defence – they don’t have enough penetration, nor do they shoot it well enough from outside to really trouble Central Michigan on the scoreboard.

The Bobcats are a dismal 2-10 against the spread in their last 12 games against teams with a winning record, while Central Michigan have covered their last five straight non-conference games.

The line here is too short and so long as the Chippewas continue scoring at the efficient rate that they’re currently managing at home they’ll have no problem making this an easy cover.

Tip: Central Michigan -2.5 @ $1.92 (1.5 units)
