Multi maker – Wednesday, 3 May

HERE’S our daily multi maker – offering the best value tips for the best returns:

The Celtics are absolutely rolling at the moment and are only the third team in history to win 5+ straight games after going down 0-2 to start a series – the other two teams (Lakers 1969, Suns 1993) both went on to read the NBA finals. Boston are playing terrific team basketball while the Wizards are doing a good job of leaning on their backcourt duo to get them out of trouble. We expect the Celtics to continue winning and with confidence high it’s tough to bet against them. Take them straight up as a nice addition to your bet slips.

Golden State are well rested and should come out firing against a Jazz outfit that was forced to go to seven games against the Clippers. With Kevin Durant back and healthy, and Steph Curry looking like the Steph Curry of old it’s hard to envision Utah slowing them down. While the line may be a little large we do believe they’ll cover and so giving them a small handicap is a safe play for your multi.

– Celtics $1.47
– Celtics +5.5 $1.20
– Warriors -3.5 $1.24
– Warriors – 8.5 $1.50

The Rangers are huge value against a Houston side with Mike Fiers at the mound. Cole Hamels has been superb on the road and we expect that trend to continue, with Texas’ hitters taking full advantage of Fiers struggles this season. While we love the road underdog at juicy odds it may be wise to give them a handicap for safe keepings. Throw them into your daily multi with a  comfortable start.

– Texas +2.5 $1.39
– Texas +3.5 $1.24

There’s no such thing as a sure thing in any sport but Pablo Carreno-Busta should come close to when he tackles Tommy Robredo in Estoril. Busta is clearly the better player and is certainly playing the better tennis at the moment. There’s no foreseeable way for Robredo to overcome a younger, fitter opponent on his preferred surface and so we’ll throw Busta in as a lock for our multi needs.

Marin Cilic looks to be working towards his best tennis and a matchup against Bosnian Damir Dzumhur should bode well for the big serving Croat. Dzumhur has done well against opponents ranked below him but has struggled against top 50 players this year. The no. 2 seed has had a shortened clay court season compared to most but should push on as he prepares for Roland Garros. Take the big serving Croat to take care of business in straight sets, and throw him in as a good money booster on your slips.

– Pablo Carreno-Busta $1.30
– Marin Cilic $1.29

Punter Problems multi of the day:
